Raj is a graduate of McMaster University, where he received his Masters in Science in Physiotherapy. Raj has been in private practice since 2006. He co-found Foundation Physiotherapy on his passion of delivering high quality health care in a progressive, non-traditional setting. His leadership and management skills has grown his clinic into a reputable health care company that is highly regarded amongst industry professionals.
Raj has worked with athletes of all levels across the world. Locally, he works with sports organizations, providing consultation and on-field coverage. He is a certified Sport Physiotherapist, and was selected as a lead medical practitioner for the Toronto 2015 Pan-Am Games. He was also selected to join the host medical team at the Toronto 2017 Invictus Games, and was a team Canada physiotherapist at the 2017 Maccabi Games in Israel.
Raj has a special interest in treating spine and sport conditions. He is certified in Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT) from the McKenzie Institute, a renowned method worldwide for the assessment, treatment and management of neck and back pain. He has also received post-graduate training in vestibular rehabilitation (treatment of vertigo and dizziness), concussion rehabilitation and advanced manual therapy. Throughout his experience, he has created a unique blend of combining manual therapy, movement patterning and functional retraining to attain client outcomes.
Raj is a Professional Associate within the physiotherapy program at McMaster University. He tutors and examines physiotherapy students, as well as contributing to physiotherapy research. He has made a vow that despite getting older, he will continue to stay young at heart!
